Trading and settlement of the Derivatives Market Section during holidays on 7th-8th May, 2012 will be carried out in accordance with Regulations for Exchange Trades. Trades of the Electric Energy Market Section will not be operating during these days.

On March, 2, 2012 quarter futures contracts on electric power price index were settled for the first time on the Russian financial market. Volumes of settled quarter contracts amounted to 534 contracts for RUB 101 mln (117 thousand MWh).
Total settlement volume reached historical maximum of RUB 282 mln (316 thousand MWh).

During the upcoming New Year holidays, the Derivatives Market Section of Mosenex will be operating from 3rd to 6th of January 2012. Trading and settlements will be carried out in accordance with Regulations for Exchange Trades in the Derivatives Market Section.
Trades of the Electric Energy Market Section will not be operating during holidays.
Due to operating schedule changes, the settlement dates for December futures contracts shifted from 10th to 3rd of January 2012.

Settlement volume of futures contracts on the average electric power price index reached historical maximum.
On December 1, 2011 average electric power price index futures contracts in the «Ñenter», «Ural», «Western Siberia» and «Eastern Siberia hubs were settled, the volume of futures settled amounted to 4,308 contracts for RUB 152 million or 165 thousand MWh.

Under the recommendations of the Derivatives Market Section Board of the Exchange, the decision to start trading quarter and year electric power futures contracts was taken. Under this decision, energy futures contracts with settlement period up to one year will start trading for the first time on the Russian exchange market on December 5, 2011.

Starting from November 1, 2011 at the request of the Participants, the trading  period  for  futures contracts of the first price zone (ECBM, EUBM,  ECPM,  EUPM) extended to 6 months, trading period for contracts of the second price zone (SWBM, SEBM) remained unchanged (3 months).
